In case you don't know the Metz mecablitz M400 Flash for Fujifilm has a USB port for easy updating of firmware via the Metz program. The use of the product is intended for the illumination of photo shootings. However, as soon as possible we will release a new firmware for this flash unit which enables the HSS function. The new design of the mecablitz M400 not only looks timeless the flash unit is always kept up-to-date via a USB interface for receiving firmware updates. Therefore the HSS function couldn't be included in the firmware of the first production of the mecablitz M400 for Fujifilm. This Fujifilm flash unit wasn't available as we designed the mecablitz M400 for Fujifilm. Metz Firmware updaters are only available for Windows computers. However, this function is really new and will be enabled with the new Fujifilm flash unit EF-X500. The mentioned flash unit mecablitz M400 for Fujifilm also is equipped with the hardware for HSS flash mode.
